Miramar, FL. April 16, 2015. A diet low in fats, sugars, and carbohydrates but high in antioxidants can make your skin more attractive, according to a recent study by Nutrition Formulators researchers.

“Doctors have always been telling us to eat healthy foods and take dietary supplements regularly to reduce instances of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other medical conditions in this country,” said Nutrition Formulators’ Product Development Manager and chief-researcher of the recent study, Yasser Verdecia. “Now, a growing body of research shows better nutrition can also lead to more attractive appearance.”

A related study, Oral intake of specific bioactive collagen peptides reduces skin wrinkles and increases dermal matrix synthesis, takes the case of nutrition-improving-looks further. It suggests collagen peptides, which are found in foods and dietary supplements, can reduce the depth of wrinkles around eyes in less than two months.

“We are not alone, who is saying that the science of nutriocosmetics exists,” said Verdecia. “There is a growing body of scientific literature on the subject.”

Dietary nutrient intakes and skin-aging appearance among middle-aged American women is a 2008 study, which illustrates a higher consumption of vitamin C and linoleic acid leads to less age-related dryness.

“It is exciting to see the growing body of literature that agrees with our research,” said Nutrition Formulators’ Customer Service Supervisor, William Vanegas. “Now we can suggest our customers to look at scientific evidence and then decide for themselves.”

The market for nutriocosmetics products is one of the most rapidly growing in the U.S. Analysis predict it will continue to grow at a CAGR of 8.62 percent through 2019.
